Our popular group fitness class, Toning & Conditioning is a
free-style weight class focusing on resistance-based or
weight-training exercises.
A class with weights to music to make it fun and motivational. And, more often than not you’ll find push-ups, chest presses, overhead presses and crunches are part of the mix too.
Each track targets a specific muscle group focusing on different muscle groups to strengthen and tone your entire body.
great fun - work with team mates
Moves include a variety of exercises, such as deadlifts, squats, chest presses, lunges, and bicep curls.
The instructor guides you through each move during class, so no prior knowledge is necessary.
All equipment is provided to all participants, you’ll need a barbell with weight plates, a bench top with risers (optional), and a mat. you are welcome to bring your hand weights.
Expect up to 800 reps during the class, often synchronised with energising music. Your instructor will demonstrate proper form and guide you throughout.

What to Wear
Sports-related footwear such as running shoes or cross trainers.
Loose comfortable sportswear.
In the cold weather try to wear a couple of thin layers rather than one thick layer as it’s easier to remove a layer if you get too hot.
You might want to bring some warm gloves and a hat, if it’s hot and sunny then you might want to apply some water-resistant sunscreen.
A waterproof or rain-resistant jacket is handy for wet sessions.
Change of clothes to go home in as you can get very muddy depending on the weather.
Please avoid bringing valuables with you, as we cannot be held responsible for any losses.

What TeamUp Provides
- Once you have completed the registration process you can then use the Mobile Apps (or a Web Browser) to manage your account and keep track of the classes you have attended. Whether you have a Junkie Card or Pay As You Go etc-
- The details of Junkie Cards purchased since April 2019 should already be shown within TeamUp, however, it has not been possible to include details of Junkie Cards from before April 2019.
- Once logged in you can view and register for any of the forthcoming Fit by Sonic Classes as well as pay for those classes either with a Junkie Card
- If you spot any mistakes with your Junkie Card, please call Marina on 07765 256 405 and she will assist.

What is a Par-q form
The Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) is a self-screening tool that can be used by anyone who is planning to start an exercise program. This will determine the safety or possible risk of exercising for our members based on their answers to specific health history questions.
During the registration process to join our community/classes, you will be asked to complete an updated Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q). This is the usual form that you have already completed at least once when you attended your first Fit by Sonic class.
It covers specific health history questions and identifies potential risks associated with physical activity.
You will also be able to update your emergency contacts.
The PAR-Q was created by the British Columbia Ministry of Health and the Multidisciplinary Board on Exercise. This form was adopted directly from the ACSM Standards and Guidelines for Health and Fitness Facilities to allow Fit by Sonic to carry out Liability Insurance to our members.
All information on the PAR-Q form will be treated confidentially.

Yes, it is best to book via our CMS we have partnered with goteamup to book your classes where you can manage your membership.
We recommend you book Toning & Conditioning and Pilates classes in advance as there are limited spaces.
Remember there are No comments with us we are pay-as-you-go . Download the apps after accepting the email request. If you wish for Fit by Sonic team are happy to manage your account. You can text, email and even call our team to help you or just turn up early and you should get a place.
Our classes do get very busy.
For health and safety reasons there is a maximum number of members who can attend each class.
Currently, our both Zumba dance classes have plenty of spaces.
No, your instructor will keep the moves as simple as possible. All our classes are for everyone for all different levels.
All other classes we shall ensure all is good before you start.
Yes, at Streatham Vale have free off-the-street parking on a yellow single line as it's after hours. Streatham Common you can park at Sainsbury for up to two hours. Please visit our time & location page for further details
All our classes are from £5.00 for a one-hour pay-as-you-go which are Zumba®, Toning & Conditioning, and Bootcamp. Our Pilates are £8.00, we believe we are the cheapest classes in South London and we want to remain the cheapest. If you find it cheaper we will give you a FREE class!
All classes include incentives - and we offer more savings i.e pilates from £3.5o with the Junkie card- Great Value
