We are taking a short break from Monday 26th August to 8th September 2024 to recharge our batteries for the upcoming season. We can’t wait to come back in September with even more exciting things in store!Our late class will be Zumba 21st of August and we will return on Monday 9th of September 2024
The free day of entertainment will be hosted by St James the Gret Summer Fair.they are inviting everyone to its summer fair this Sunday. You will be able to browse stalls boasting a range of food and drink, fashion, toys and books. Meet the crew of Fit by Sonic! A 20-minute demonstration of our exciting Zumba Keep Fit classes. We have been given the time around 1 pm to do our thing! Was a fantastic event, our members shied away due to rain – but we had the heavens opened for our families and friends to come together,. Claudia Fontaine was a backing vocalist from Peckham, London and a good friend of Marina’s who support Fit by Sonic. She joined us for our 5th birthday as a special guest. Sadly we lost a good friend Claudia Fontaine in 2018.During the 1980s, Fontaine and fellow backing vocalist Caron Wheeler (and later, third member Naomi Thompson) were known as Afrodiziak. She made an appearance in the video “Back to Life (However Do You Want Me)” with Soul II Soul. She also performed with such artists as The Jam, Paul Weller, Elvis Costello and The Attractions, Marilyn, Madness, Neneh Cherry, The Specials, Heaven 17, Hothouse Flowers and Howard Jones. Fontaine sang background vocals on the hit single “Free Nelson Mandela” by The Special AKA. Fontaine was the lead vocalist on The Beatmasters’ hit single of 1989 “Warm Love”, which is included on their debut album Anywayawanna.

We were so pleased to see our members who joined us to support the Telferscot Primary School Summer Fair. It was well attended, and fun, and the rain held out for the event. We recognise the effort they made on behalf of Fit by Sonic.
